美国EFA学院&华师国际来我校进行教学交流

3月14日，加州校区大学升学辅导团队总监、曾任美国大学招生咨询协会委员会(NACAC)联合主、EFA美高副校长JIM SARGENT，EFA亚太地区经理Josh Lin，华师国际教育培训总监Crystal Peng以及华师国际教育培训总监助理Victor一行到我校进行参观交流。

On March 14th, JIM SARGENT, director of California College Entrance Guidance Team, former co-director of American College Admissions Advisory Association Committee (NACAC), vice president of EFA; Manager of EFA Asia Pacific, Josh Lin; Director of International Education and Training of China Normal University, Crystal Peng, and Victor, assistant director of International Education and Training of China Normal University visited our school.

Jim副校长一行参观了学校教学区、世纪剧院、学生公寓、游泳馆等，我校国高学生代表用流利的英语向来访嘉宾进行了讲解。

Vice President Jim and his delegation visited the teaching area, Century Theater, student apartment and swimming pool, etc. Representatives of our school explained to the visiting guests in fluent English.

Jim副校长一行与我校副校长佟铭、招生办老师、国高老师、国高学生代表进行了座谈交流。佟校对Jim副校长一行的到来表示欢迎，并介绍了我校办学情况、多元课程体系、开展活动及办学成果等。Jim副校长对二十一世纪学校的发展与办学成果表示肯定。Jim副校长表示，他参访的学校中不乏北上广的名校，但二十一世纪学校给他留下了很深刻的印象，从校园硬件到师资水准，从办学理念到实施成果，都具有鲜明的特色，在国内走在了前沿，与优秀的海外中学相比，也毫不逊色，许多教学理念都相通，在学生活动以及研学方面，有着高度的一致性，实属本次参访中国西南地区城市的一个惊喜。

Vice President Jim and his delegation had a discussion with Tong Ming, the vice president of our school, the teachers of the Admission Office, the teachers and the students of The National High School Department. Vice President Tongg welcomed the guests and introduced our school situation, diversified curriculum system, activities and achievements, etc. Vice President Jim affirmed the development and achievements of the school. Jim vice President, said he had visited schools in most part of China, but the 21st Century School gave him a deep impression, from the campus to the teachers, from the educational philosophy to the implementation results, has distinctive characteristics. When compared with excellent overseas high schools, 21st Century School has many advanced teaching ideas, even in terms of student activities and studies, has a high degree of consistency, which is a great surprise visiting to southwest of China.

双方就美高教育、AP课程、学生发展成长、高中学习方式以及大学申请相关话题进行了深入沟通和交流。

The two sides had in-depth communication and exchange on topics related to American high school education, AP courses, student development and growth, high school learning methods and university application.

二十一世纪学校有着多元化的课程体系，开展了丰富的社团课程，保证学生全面又个性地成长，给学生更多展示的平台。Jim校长也强调了课外活动的重要性，他说，以过往招生经验来看，比起英系学校，美国甚至加州学校系在评估applicant时会对成绩单以外的内容十分看重，所以学生们在进行学术提升时，务必要对背景提升以及课外活动板块进行重视。

In the 21st Century School, the school here has a diversified curriculum system, and carries out a wealth of community courses, to ensure the students' comprehensive and individual growth, and to give students more platforms to show. Vice President Jim also stressed the importance of extracurricular activities. He said that based on past admissions experience, compared with British universities, American and even California schools attach great importance to content other than transcripts when evaluating applicants, so students must pay attention to the background improvement and extracurricular activities when making academic improvement.

此外，Jim副校长分享了国际上最新的教育评价方式。他希望学生毕业后能够承担这四种角色即learner、leader、scholar&global citizen，也就是学习者，领导者，学者以及全球公民。

In addition, Vice President Jim shared the latest international educational evaluation methods. He wants students to take on these four roles, such as learner, leader, scholar & global citizen, or learners, leaders, scholars, and global citizens.

Jim副校长表示，此次访校收获颇丰，并表示双方将进一步深化合作，更新国际化办学的先进理念，进一步推动双方学校的学术、文化以及特色教育的交流合作。

Vice President Jim said that the visit has gained a lot, and said that the two sides will further deepen the cooperation, update the advanced concept of international education, and further promote the academic, cultural and characteristic education exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.
